Oliver Thorne started in 2016 as a trader on a Challenger-circuit tennis desk, pricing 40 to 60 matches a week off surface-adjusted serve-hold percentages. The work was repetitive and it taught him everything. He moved to golf in 2019, building a course-fit model that weighted strokes-gained-approach against green complexity at each Tour venue, and it flagged three outright winners at 40/1 or longer before the model went private. Table tennis came later, almost by accident, after a season of Liga Pro pricing during the 2020 shutdown when it was the only sport still running. At Megapari he writes the racquet and precision-sport guides, audits every set-handicap and each-way term we publish, and posts a Thursday note before the majors. He reads the Friday cut line the way other analysts read a team sheet.
